Custom business software for SMEs

Orders, stock, customers, shifts: business software is what a company uses most. When it is built around the way you work, it saves everyone time every single day.

Empatix builds custom business software for companies and SMEs: software that brings together, in one place, the information and the steps a company works with every day. Not a generic program to configure, but a tool built around your processes.

Signs your current system is no longer enough

  • To find out where an order stands, you have to ask someone.
  • The same data is typed by hand into two or three programs.
  • There is an "official" spreadsheet, and everyone has a slightly different copy.
  • The program you use does a hundred things, but not the one that makes the difference in your industry.
  • Reports are prepared at month end, when it is too late to act.

None of these problems stops a company on its own. Together they take hours out of every week and make it hard to grow without adding people just to keep information in order.

What software built for you can do

  • Orders and jobs: from progress tracking to delivery, with exceptions handled by the system rather than from memory.
  • Stock: quantities, movements, low-stock alerts, delivery notes.
  • Customers and suppliers (CRM): records, history, dedicated price lists and terms.
  • Quotes and offers: generated from real data, consistent with price lists and availability.
  • Shifts, calendars and bookings: who does what and when, with automatic reminders.
  • Dashboards and reports: the numbers that matter every morning, without opening ten files.
  • Automation: notifications, documents, reminders and repetitive steps that run on their own.

You do not need everything at once. We start from the process that wastes the most time today and add the rest once the first one works.

It connects to what you already have

A new system does not have to replace everything. We connect it to the tools you already use: accounting and electronic invoicing, e-commerce, couriers, payment providers, machinery and sensors when they expose their data. Where it makes sense we add artificial intelligence: automatic document reading, request classification, search across your history.

How it is made

Our business software is delivered as web applications: used from the browser on computers, tablets and phones, with nothing to install. Each user sees only what concerns them, every important change is tracked, data is saved with verified backups. The interface is designed with the people who will use it: business software is used eight hours a day, so every click saved is multiplied.

We use widespread, well-documented technologies (TypeScript, React or Vue, Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL), so the software stays maintainable over time, by others too. Code and data are yours.

Cost and timing

The cost of custom business software depends on how many processes it covers, how many systems it connects and how many roles use it. After the analysis you receive an estimate split into phases, with a first version that solves the most urgent problem. Compared with a licence you pay more at the start and less over time: there are no per-user fees growing along with the company.

How we work

  1. PHASE 01

    Listen

We understand the problem before proposing a solution. Workshops, questions, zero pointless slides.

We follow an order or a job from start to finish to see where time and information get lost.

  2. PHASE 02

    Design

Clickable prototypes in days, not months. You decide on something you can actually touch.

Screens are designed around roles: who enters data, who approves, who checks the numbers.

  3. PHASE 03

    Build

Short sprints, frequent releases. Watch the product grow week after week.

First the process that weighs the most, with existing data already imported; other modules follow one at a time.

  4. PHASE 04

    Evolve

We don't vanish after launch. We measure, improve and stay by your side.

Reports, automation and integrations are added once the system is part of daily work.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between custom business software and a standard ERP?

A standard ERP is designed to cover many industries: it is complete, but it asks the company to adapt to how it works. Custom software does the opposite: it covers only the processes you need, the way you really run them. The two often coexist: accounting stays on the program you already have, the custom system handles the rest, and they exchange data.

Can we keep the accounting software we already use?

Yes, almost always. The system can exchange data with your accounting software, electronic invoicing, e-commerce and the other tools you use, through their APIs or through automated imports and exports.

What about the data we have today in spreadsheets or in the old program?

It moves to the new system. Data migration is part of the project: we analyse it, clean it up with you and import it, so on day one the system is already populated and nobody starts from zero.

Can it be used from a phone, in the warehouse or off site?

Yes. The systems we build are web applications: they run in the browser on computers, tablets and phones. Where needed they can also work on an unstable connection and sync as soon as the network is back.

How much does custom business software cost?

It depends on how many processes it must cover, how many systems it must connect to and how many different roles use it. After the analysis we prepare an estimate split into phases: we usually start from the process that costs the most time today and add the others step by step.
